This hard drive eraser provides standalone, simultaneous drive erasing for up to four 2.5 in. or 3.5 in. SATA hard drives or solid-state drives.

Save time with a four-bay, standalone eraser

Unlike hard-drive docking stations or adapters that require a computer connection and software to erase drives, this hard drive sanitizer features standalone erasing that doesn't require a host computer. This avoids the hassle of connecting your drives to a host computer and protects your drives from external security threats like remote data access.

The four-bay design maximizes efficiency by batching multiple drives in single erase projects, saving you valuable time. The hard drive eraser supports USB 3.0, also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1, with file transfer rates of up to 5Gbps.

Maximum versatility with multiple erase modes

Using industry-recognized erase modes, the hard drive eraser securely sanitizes the data from your 2.5 in. or 3.5 in. SSDs or HDDs. It supports nine erase modes including Quick Erase, Single and Multi-pass Overwrites, Custom Erase, NIST 800-88 Rev. 1 Purge compliant Secure Erase and Enhanced Secure Erase. The Multi-pass Overwrite (3-Pass Full Disk Overwrite) erase procedures meet the requirements of DoD (5220.22-M) standards.

Support for a variety of erase modes makes this drive eraser perfect for virtually any professional application. Single-Pass Overwrite is ideal for IT technicians and system administrators who decommission and repurpose old hard drives, while Quick and Secure Erase, Single Pass Overwrite and Multi-pass Overwrite modes (meeting DoD standards) are ideal solutions for research laboratories, health offices, law offices and accountants who manage sensitive data and require secure erasing to avoid potential privacy breaches.

In addition to supporting 2.5 in./3.5 in. SATA SSDs and HDDs, the hard drive eraser also works with 2.5 in. and 3.5 in. IDE hard drives, mSATA drives and SATA M.2 drives using a compatible StarTech.com adapter:

The hard drive eraser features convenient menu navigation that ensures fast and efficient performance, with push-button operation and a built-in LCD display that clearly identifies the erase modes and task status. You can also connect the eraser to a computer to quickly access the drive that's connected to port-1.

To ensure your records are complete for auditing, the hard drive eraser features a 9-pin serial port that can connect to a serial printer to provide on-demand erase logs.

Return Policy

  • Return Window: Eligible products may be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery.

  • RMA Required: All returns require prior authorization and a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from ITLogixs.

  • Product Condition: Returned products must generally be unused, uninstalled, unregistered, undamaged, complete, and in resalable condition.

  • Original Packaging: Products should be returned with original packaging, manuals, accessories, licences, cables, and components.

  • Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply to non-defective or discretionary returns.

  • Return Shipping: Customers are generally responsible for return shipping costs unless the return results from an ITLogixs error or verified defective product.

  • Original Shipping Charges: Original shipping, freight, and special-handling charges are generally non-refundable.

  • Defective Products: Defective products may be repaired, replaced, credited, or handled through the applicable manufacturer warranty.

  • Shipping Damage: Visible shipping damage, shortages, or incorrect items should be reported within 5 business days of delivery, and all original packaging should be retained.

  • Software & Digital Products: Software, licence keys, subscriptions, cloud services, and digital products are generally non-returnable once issued, activated, registered, provisioned, downloaded, or electronically delivered.

  • Special-Order Products: Custom-configured, built-to-order, special-order, and non-stock products may be non-returnable.

  • Medical & Hygiene Products: Opened medical, sterile, hygienic, personal-protection, or patient-contact products may be non-returnable.

  • Final-Sale Items: Clearance, final-sale, hazardous, used, altered, damaged, incomplete, or manufacturer-restricted products may not be eligible for return.

  • Refunds: Approved refunds are normally issued to the original payment method after the returned product has been received and inspected.

  • Statutory Rights: Nothing in this policy limits any consumer or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Canadian law.

Shipping Policy

  • Standard Shipping: In-stock orders are generally delivered within 5 business days after order acceptance, payment verification, and inventory confirmation.

  • Free Shipping: Standard ground shipping is free on eligible orders of $300 CAD or more before taxes.

  • Flat-Rate Shipping: Orders under $300 CAD are subject to a $19.99 CAD flat shipping fee for standard ground delivery.

  • Availability: Delivery times are subject to product availability, payment clearance, order verification, warehouse processing, and carrier availability.

  • Weekends & Holidays: Orders placed on weekends or Canadian statutory holidays will generally be processed on the next business day.
